We are here to offer you a real solution. In today's economy police depatments are short handed. In most cases they do not have the time to do follow up training after attending a course. You can't tell that to our competitors the fact is they just don't get it. You see them in their flashy videos will all the gear on with guns blazing looking really impressive. That type of marketing can fool alot of people into believeing they really know something when they are no different than anyone else. When you look at their unarmed defensive tactics it's the same old problem.
1. They teach tactics that have a low success rate under real combat stress such as teaching wrist locks as a primary restraint.
2. They teach a bunch of tactics that require a certain build or athleticism so some of your officers can perform them while others can't instead of teaching concepts that everyone can use successfully.
3. They take simple things and make them more complicated for money like for example taking an unarmed program and breaking it up into phases of training when it isn't necessary. This either proves their tactics are overly complicated or they are just trying to shake you down for more money. An example would be becoming a phase one instructor then having to go to phase two for more advanced tactics. This defies logic. If they teach the proper tactics in phase one then they would work and you wouldn't need a phase two. Maybe you best interest isn't really their priority.
4. They teach outdated programs from the 90's that have lost their relevance since the advent of the MMA culture.
5. They teach too many programs so they have alot of programs that are alright but none of them are anything great.
This list could go on and on. The thought process in police science has to change. It's all relative. When officers in the field have tactics that don't work properly they either get injured or revert back to street fighting and end up in court. It's bad enough that the training budget is always the first thing to get cut because state administrations don't understand they are losing money by cutting training. Sure they are saving that money but they are losing it on the back end in litigation and down time for injuries. Then on top of that you have companies coming in and charging you an arm and a leg for programs that they can make you think work but actually aren't worth a damn.
